Buenos Dias. My name is Herman and I teach 6
th grade language arts, social studies, and religion. I consider myself the luckiest person in the world to have a job at SNRCS; the facilities are immaculate, we have the latest technology, the environment is peaceful and positive, and I get to work with a great group of people.
I have had the opportunity to teach off and on for several decades beginning in 1976 at the San Gabriel Mission in California and I later taught at the high school level in the public schools. After returning to New Mexico I worked for the New Mexico Department of Labor as a supervisor and lead trainer. I have also worked for the Santa Fe Community College for the past 18 years teaching English-as-a-Second Language. And of course I have worked for SNRCS for the past seven years.
My main focus at SNRCS is to teach children citizenship responsibilities and Christian values. Secondly our focus is to challenge the students to develop their basic skills so that they are ready for the more advanced educational levels with the goal that on average students perform two (2) grade levels above their current grade. It is pleasing to get reports that students were well prepared for the next level and are performing well at schools that they later attend. However, I can guarantee that I will do everything I can and work as hard as necessary to make certain that your son or daughter performs to the best of their ability to fulfill the mission God has in mind for them.
