Good Afternoon Santo Niño Families,

Thank you for your patience as my staff and I have worked to create a thoughtful plan to reopen our school in a way that meets the needs of our families.  There are many considerations that have gone into the planning process.  Many of our families have concerns about reentering school and we want to respect those concerns.  Likewise many of our families feel comfortable with returning and need to know that their children are cared for and learning while they return to work that is essential to the security of their families.  We believe we have created a plan that meets the varied needs of our families and also follows the health orders mandated by our state and the guidance of the Archdiocese.   You will see that this plan allows parents to choose the right option for your personal situation and allows us to reopen with appropriate social distancing.  Achieving the same result as schools that will employ the hybrid model.

It is important that, after you have reviewed the attached document, you let us know if you will choose the on-line option.  That way we can set up our classrooms and determine staffing allocations.  If you are choosing to take advantage of on-line learning for your child/children please follow the link below and sign up using Sign-up Genius   Please sign up each student individually and be sure and provide the grade.  I am closing the sign up on Wednesday, July 29th.  As stated in our plan document, you will be able to review your choice of options at the end of each quarter.  We still expect to open on August 13.  We will have several days of individual meetings with parents, students, and teachers to help orient everyone to the way we will be working this year.  You will receive a schedule for these meetings.  We expect that full-day school, both in-person and on-line will begin on August 24.

As always, the caveat!  If mandates from the state or Archdiocese require changes at any time during the school year, we are obligated to follow them.
